Welcome to AP English Literature and Composition!

I am excited to be starting a new year and to begin working with each and every one of you. I hope that you are all prepared for a challenging (but hopefully, enjoyable) year of reading, writing, and thinking. In addition to preparing you all to pass the AP test on May 10 (write that date in your agendas now!), I will also be working with you to prepare your college applications and Senior Exit Portfolios, so we will be very busy. In order to beat last year's pass rate of 45%, we will need to work VERY hard, so prepare yourselves now!

Please bookmark this page on your computers--I update regularly with information from class discussions, upcoming due dates and reminders, and (most importantly on those long weekends) changes to our class schedule and information I forget to mention in class. Make sure you check the page regularly and use it to post comments to me and your peers, extending our class discussions (some homework assignments will require blog posts).

Class documents will be available to download on the English Department page of the school website (especially important if you are absent or lose the copy I gave you in class!). Again, I am excited to be starting a new year, and I encourage you to contact me with any questions or concerns as the year progresses!
